Alaska's Private Jet and Other Liberal Media Smear Tactics

Hmmm, anyone tune in to the first 10 minutes of the Charles Gibson interview on ABC news with Sarah Palin this evening?  I couldn't actually get to the interview as my stomach turned with disgust over the ridiculous opening piece regarding the democrats' orchestrated "issues" against Sarah Palin's accomplishments. Perhaps the most obvious, silly claim was that some mystery people are apparently disgruntled that Sarah Palin spent about $43,000 flying about Alaska in the past year despite selling the governor's private jet.  Gee, these mystery people must be real rocket scientists.  A quick google shows that the average private jet starts at about $6 million up to as much as $80 million dollars to buy- that's a heck of a lot of airfare.  $30 million is a typical price tag on executive type jets.  Then there is the annual cost to operate such a jet- if you are really lucky you might get off cheap at the tune of $150,000 a year.  Yes, these mystery people have obviously majored in economics.  Thank goodness ABC took time tonight to point out the expense of the airfare but say nothing at all about the expense of the jet.  Fair reporting at its finest.
